Easy solution. My younger children have always been instructed not to open the front door unless they know who it is. If it's a stranger, they've been taught to ask them from behind the closed door "Greetings in the Name of Christ our Savior. Who is your lord and in whose name do you come here?" Usually, this makes strangers leave quickly. If not, the children tell them that their father cannot come to the door right away because he's on the telephone. Our younger girls absolutely will not open the door unless they know who it is and know that they are of His Family.
