I would like to ask LewisH a question about something he posted regarding a federal court case about notaries cannot refuse to do certain acts, as well as further information about a Certificate of Protest. Please respond to me. I'm a new subscriber. Thank you Cassie

I found the court case in a previous response from Lewish to another member.

I'm a notary in Hwaii and am looking for information about the proper procedures for utilizing the function of a Certificate of Protest. What are the steps necessary to do it properly? Where can I find the statues or rules about how to use this process? Does is come under the UCC, and if so what sections of the code?

Aloha Cassie
